I’ve launched a Patreon and I’m nervous as hell about it

So. I’ve witnessed a lot of kerfuffle on the internet in the past when it comes to people publishing using some sort of crowdfunding. I’ve even kind of had Thoughts about it myself.

But here I am, launching a Patreon.

I’m hoping that the small perks I’m offering outweigh any negative feelings people have about a crowd-funding method. That, yes, this money will be funneled into publishing work that I planned to publish regardless, but I’m not offering something for nothing. Every pledge level, all the way down to the basic $1/month pledge, will get something that I’ve had to work on that I wouldn’t have otherwise.

I hope I don’t cause kerfuffle. There is no kerfuffle meant. And I’m certainly not going to try to talk anyone into pledging. I also want to be very clear: Nothing will happen if I don’t meet any of my Patreon goals. My books will still be published. I’ll still continue to write. But it’s my hope that Patreon will help me get to them just a little quicker.

So, if you’re interested, thank you. If you’re not interested, still thank you. For hanging out with me on these here interwebs, or in my books.
