Day 1: Sunday:
Lalala, bored in the airport so I’m blogging/live-blogging my hassles at the airport. Will recap this in a much more pleasant and shorter form on Almost Grown-up at a later date.
8:25 AM: Wake up. ZOMGGGGG I’M GOING TO NEW YORK TODAYYYYY
9:30 AM: Chug water on way to the airport as I brag to my parents about how HYDRATED I’m going to be on my flight
10:30 AM: Through security! What a speedy process this is looking to be. I feel so much better about flying with Spirit Airlines. Let me just grab one of the few available gate seats left and settle in with my Kindle before I board…
10:45 AM: Flight gets delayed 2 1/2 hours. They can’t get me on a different one. Regretting earlier optimism regarding Spirit. Text/e-mail roommates. Apprise Twitter of my situation. Bond with some fellow passengers about how WE KNEW BETTER than to fly with Spirit. And now all that water I chugged is making a comeback…
11 AM: Finish book. Leave sweater to mark my seat. Go to bathroom.
11:05 AM: Come back. Glare at dude who pretends not to see me pick my sweater off the ground where he moved it. Settle for standing and staring at him instead.
11:10 AM: Different nearby seat opens up. He dares to look at me. I widen my eyes and beam psychic unpleasantness at him.
11:15 AM: He moves to the opened up seat. I settle back down where I started.
11:35 AM: I SHOULD BE IN THE SKY RIGHT NOW.
12:35 PM: Might as well write some reviews and blog posts…
12:50 PM: Random guy is snoring LOUDLY. Is this real life?!
